Classroom Management Tips
Help your students develop a workflow that keeps them organized
You can’t over-communicate your expectations and what the task is.
Set clear behavior expectations. Every day.
Practice the 'magic words' with your class.
Rethink and Relocate
It’s OK to NOT use the iPad sometimes.
Practice your lesson/activity/workflow at least 24 hours before class.
Substitute lesson plan - have you thought about this?
Have an established procedure for the beginning of class.
Do you have timers set up and available?
ALWAYS have a tech-free back-up plan - also good for students who are off-task to have an alternate assignment
Ask yourself, “What is the ultimate point of what I’m trying to accomplish?”
Remind them that they have something amazing.
