Abstract:
Just because it’s new and shiny doesn't mean it’s the best tool to help with learning. In this session, you will learn about the SETT framework and how to make informed decisions about device and application selection. Participants will learn about several resources and strategies to help make informed and diligent decisions, and how to involve all stakeholders in the process.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will learn of several web-based resources to help them make informed AT decisions.
- Participants will learn about the various crucial stakeholders that need to be involved
- Participants will understand how to help parents understand that wants do not equal the best tool.

Session Title: Differentiating Instruction With Open Educational Resources (OER)

Abstract: Open Educational Resources (OER) address the need and have the potential to facilitate new styles of teaching and learning by giving educators the ability to choose, modify, and remix content in unique ways. In this big idea session, you will learn how to create the conditions necessary for learning opportunities to occur through the use of differentiated materials. The resources shared in the session will allow learning to happen no matter the device or location of your learners.
